Meet the Founder
Kelsey Jost is a licensed private investigator based in Washington State. Kelsey graduated from law school in 2018 from the University of Oregon and started her career at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Seattle, Washington. There, she managed thousands of criminal investigations ranging from misdemeanors to felony sex offenses. She tried cases to verdict, worked with law enforcement to direct follow-up requests, and resolved hundreds of cases through negotiations.
After nearly four years of service, she transitioned into civil practice. It was there that Kelsey realized her favorite part of her job was talking to people and gathering evidence. In 2024, she then decided to focus her career exclusively on investigation matters, such as workplace investigations and litigation support.
Kelsey has extensive experience interviewing a diverse range of witnesses, including children, civilians who are in distress, law enforcement officers, public employees, victims working through significant trauma, medical professionals, and C-suite level executives. She is trained in trauma-informed investigation methods. She approaches each interview with empathy and is thorough and efficient, maximizing her fact-finding ability.
